Beast petroglyph
As an artist, I am deeply fascinated by the ancient art form of petroglyphs and the powerful connection they have with the natural landscape. My petroglyph-inspired land art work, created using natural materials gathered from the river bed of a canyon in Mongolia, represents a conceptual exploration of proficiency and prowess.
The image I have gathered with rocks and boulders of the landscape is a representation of the powerful and majestic beast, which has long been associated with strength and skill. In ancient times, this creature was revered as a symbol of power and was often depicted in petroglyphs as a sign of prowess in hunting or battle.
Through my artwork, I hope to connect with this ancient tradition and explore new ways to engage with the land and the people who come to experience it. By harnessing the natural beauty of the landscape and incorporating it into my work, I hope to create a powerful and evocative symbol of human proficiency and the enduring power of nature to inspire and engage us. This work, therefore, is not only a piece of land art, but also a celebration of the deep connection between humans and the environment.
